Our story starts with just one little boy who couldn't eat the cakes at birthday parties.

In 2018, when we discovered our son had a dairy allergy, everything changed. Suddenly, the simple joy of sharing a slice of cake became complicated. Store shelves were full of 'free-from' options that were either tasteless cardboard or packed with preservatives we couldn't pronounce.

That's when we knew we had to do something different.

So we started Positive Bakes. Not just to solve our problem, but to solve it for everyone who'd ever felt left out at the dessert table.

We make gluten-free, plant-based treats. That's our speciality. No compromises, no shortcuts. Our head baker has spent over 15 years mastering the alchemy of allergen-friendly baking - creating treats so delicious, nobody asks what's missing. We're the team that Fortnum & Mason trusts, that Selfridges stocks, that Wimbledon chose for their championships.

Frequently asked questions

Our treats are 100% plant-based, gluten-free, soya-free, dairy-free, and egg-free. However, we use tree nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, pecans, pistachios) in our bakery, so we're not suitable for nut allergies. See our full allergen information.

All our treats are handmade in our purpose-built, allergen-free bakery on Leicester Food Park. It's a dedicated space - we don't share our kitchen or equipment with any other businesses, and we only use ingredients that are certified free from gluten, dairy, eggs, and soya.

Whilst we don't have a retail shop, you can collect orders in person Monday to Friday. For orders placed by 10am, same-day collection is available between 1pm and 4pm.
